“A great marriage isn’t something that just happens; it’s something that must be created.”
– Fawn Weaver
Beginning in 1991, Wendy Ter Haar had a vision of opening a small business onto her husband's business, The Mail Bag. While carrying a small selection of stationery products, Ter Haar's vision grew into becoming a stationery and gift store, thus The Keeping Room was born.
The name The Keeping Room came from the idea that her business was a small side addition to a larger business, just like a keeping room in old southern homes.
The Keeping Room's business began to grow and a new location on Jefferson Highway allowed for new expansions to happen, beginning the foundation for what The Keeping Room is now.
The Keeping Room has now become a full service printing and design boutique for custom invitations, stationery, and weddings. The Keeping Room continues to offer lifestyle brands like Crane & Co., Smock Letterpress Wedding, Bella Figura, William Arthur, Vera Wang, and more.
